don't kid yourself
it's been a slow day. highly uneventful. and the only thing a slow, highly uneventful day does is bring me down. way down. i've been depressed from the moment i woke up this morning and it's carried on throughout the day. and i'm supposed to go get my california driver's license today. my picture's gonna look like a mugshot, i just know it. not to mention the fact that i severely dislike posing for pictures. just makes it a great day overall, huh? notsomuch.
one thing that slightly raised the corners of my mouth into a pseudosmile and momentarily chased away these dark clouds that hang over my head was when i was checking out random things online during lunch and i saw this. and it's not so much the topic, but the picture in the top left that associates itself with the topic...i've heard reports that life is tougher on kids now than when i was a kid, but this is ridiculous.
but as it is, i'm just counting down the minutes until i get to leave work to go stand in line for hours at the DMV. actually, i got an appointment. supposedly it cuts down on the time you'll have to wait and stand in line. personally, i think it's just upperclassism pointed directly at the lowerclasses who don't have computers or access to the internet to set up such an appointment. facist pigs. but maybe i'm wrong and you can call in for an appointment. that'd make it ok. no...still bad. what about people who don't have phones? it's still elitism. can you walk in and make an appointment for another day? cuz that'd work. but then you hafta think about people who can't walk or are bedridden or something. but then i think about it, and those people probably shouldn't be driving anyway, so it's ok.
